Online-Rechner für den Body-Mass-Index (BMI)
Normal weight, underweight or overweight?
The body mass index (BMI)- is a measure for classifying a person's body weight in relation to their height. However, stature, biological sex and the individual composition of body mass from fat and muscle tissue are not taken into account. Therefore, the BMI only allows a very rough classification and interpretation.
Nevertheless, the BMI can be a valuable help in assessing and evaluating one's own body weight. A BMI below 18 and above 25 is a warning signal. And a BMI below 16 and above 30 is a clear alarm signal.
